Today we begin answering the questions you all submitted for our “Ask The Pastor” questions. Join us this morning at 10:30am to learn more about “What does the Lord require of us?”.
There is no way to say thank you enough to our volunteers for all the hard work they put into this week. All of you, no matter how big or how small you consider your efforts, are our heroes. God did some amazing things throughout this week. We are incredibly blessed. Preliminary numbers for the week were 10 first time decisions and highest day (Thursday, figure that one out) - 204. The kids brought a little over $800 during the week, with more than $600 being taken up last night. There was also an anonymous donation of $1000 given for a grand total of of $2400 being split between our two mission families. PRAISE JESUS! I've already been working on next year's schedule. We're putting the 5th and 6th grade class back in the school, along with getting rid of some of the extra time in schedule between classes (there was one switch time that had extra time in it) as well as making all rotations the same length. I'm excited for the extra time it's going to give us. Be expecting a debrief meeting to be scheduled early next month. We want to give you time to relax and recoup. I know both Judy and I were exhausted last night (I about fell asleep in my chair at dinner last night.) Thanks again for all your help and all you did this week!!! We're looking forward to next year.

Once again, a HUGE thank you to the folks who are coming out and helping with Vacation Bible School. We had 154 kids today. We are going to need a couple volunteers to cover our nursery tomorrow. Our kitchen staff has been taking turns, but the snack for tomorrow is pretty labor intensive, and they are going to need all hands on deck. If you would be able to help tomorrow, please contact the church office.
God has blessed us with even more kids today for VBS, praise the Lord!! However, this means we need some extra help tomorrow for our crafts as the kids make t-shirts tomorrow. We could also use some help in the 3rd-5th grade classes since this is one our largest groups. For more information on helping, contact the church office.

Thursday beginning at 8am, at the sportsman park directly beside the church, there will be a work day to finish a picnic shelter. If you are not involved in our VBS and would like to help, show up at 8am with your work clothes on. Thank you in advance for helping!

Jesus would never offend someone! That’s what a coworker told me one time. He said that Jesus was all about love. I kind of agreed with him. Jesus was about Love. But love was not all He was about. He was also about repentance, He was about forgiveness, He was about restoration, He was about overcoming sin and conquering death. All these things make up who Christ was but, who He was often offended people. It brought people face to face with their sin. He outright told the crowd they were slaves to sin. In fact, he called out all humanity as being slaves. He said “Everyone who sins is a slave to sin.” Sin means doing or thinking something that goes against God and his perfect character. This was not the offense that almost got him stoned though. That offense was saved for when simply said “I AM” The Jews of Jesus days knew exactly what that meant. They knew he was claiming to be God. One of the most offensive things He could have ever said is now one of the greatest parts of scripture. Because Jesus was the “I AM”, we now can experience, repentance, forgiveness, restoration, salvation and that love my coworker spoke of. Join us beginning on March 24th, 2019 a we spend six weeks studying these “I AM” Statements of Jesus. Week 1-March 24th “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger” (John 6:35). Week 2- March 31st “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). Week 3- April 7th “I am the door” (John 10:9). “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep” (John 10:11). Week 4- April 14th “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6). Easter Week April 21st “I am the resurrection and the life.” (John 11:25) Week 6-April 28th “I am the true vine” (John 15:1).
Join us this Sunday as we wrap up our Series on God's Grace by learning how to be about "Spreading Grace, Peace, and Truth". To the world around us. This world needs God' Grace, even if they don't always know it.
